This horizontal tube furnace can anneal samples in a hydrogen or nitrogen gas atmosphere. It can also be used as a standard 3-zone furnace.

Sealing stationThis assists in the sealing of quartz tubes using a gas burner. A rotary pump and turbo-molecular pump are equipped for evacuation and Ar gas filling.

This is a purge-type glovebox and can handle samples in an Ar atmosphere. Weighing samples and storing air-sensitive samples in Teflon bags etc. are possible. -

Electric and Hall resistivity can effectively be measured under an applied magnetic field up to 9 T. Dielectric constant and electric polarisation can also be measured using a hand-made probe, and magnetic torque measurement is possible. -

Thi is commonly known as SQUID-1. DC and AC magnetisation measurement up to 5 T is possible. -
